The Hellenic Parliament, at an historical moment for the country, presented a part of the showpieces which will adorn the Permanent Greek exhibition  to be housed in the Auschwitz State Museum. The presentation was realized on May 2, 2019 by the President of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr. Nikos Voutsis, in a very emotionally touching ambiance.

This day constitutes the capstone of the effort and the historical decision taken by the Hellenic Parliament to fully fund the establishment of a Permanent Exhibition in Auschwitz. Thus, we have ended our country's seventy year absence from this place of torture and memory, where thousands of our fellow citizens were exterminated. The exhibition titled "You should remember me, the way I remember you" (a phrase from the manuscript of Marcel Natzari) is organized thanks to the significant contribution of the Jewish Museum of Greece, that offered historical details and evidence. The resolution of the Hellenic Parliament to finance this work constitutes the minimum tribute of the country's moral and historical obligation for the perished in the Concentration Camp of Auschwitz.

The State Museum of Auschwitz concedes Block 12 to the Hellenic Parliament where a part of the showpieces will be exhibited. This temporary exhibition will remain open to visitors till the 30th of June 2019. Then all the showpieces are going to be transferred to Block 18, where the Permanent Greek Exhibition for the Greek victims of Auschwitz will be housed.

This first presentation of the exhibition was greeted, in presence of the Ecumenical Patriarch Mr. Bartholomew, by the President of the Jewish Museum of Greece Mr. Samuel (Makis) Matsas, the President of the Central Board of the Jewish Communities in Greece, Mr. David Saltiel, the Director of the State Museum of Auschwitz Mr.  Andrzei Kacorzyk and the Polish Minister for Development Mr. Jan Krzysztof Ardanowski, who is also the President of the Polish-Israeli Parliamentary friendship group.

At the end of the ceremony the President of the Hellenic Parliament signed the Memorial Book of the State Museum of Auschwitz.
