ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE CENTRAL BOARD OF JEWISH COMMUNITIES IN GREECE FOR THE TERRORIST ATTACK AGAINST THE EMBASSY OF ISRAEL IN ATHENS Print E-mail
Friday, 12 December 2014 13:53

After the terrorist strike against the Embassy of Israel in Athens early this morning, the Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece sent the following letter to the Ambassador of Israel in Athens, Mrs Irit Ben Aba:

“The Central Board of Jewish Communities in Greece wishes to express to you, to all the diplomats of the State of Israel who serve in Greece, as well as to the employees of the Embassy, the Greek Jewry’s support to the Embassy of Israel in Athens regarding the terrorist attack against the Embassy early this morning.

We are confident that this terrorist strike, in no way, reflects the feelings of the Greek citizens towards the people of Israel and that it will not withhold the will of the two states, Greece and Israel, to continue developing the bilateral relations of cooperation for the benefit of both peoples.

Terrorism, from which the people of Israel have brutally suffered, attempts to strike the Greek society, as well as democracy in Greece. We express our certainty that the Greek law enforcement authorities will make every effort to arrest the terrorists for the safety of the Greek citizens, as well as of the millions of visitors to our country”.
