Israeli President Reuven Rivlin started off his official visit to Greece on Monday January 29, 2018 by laying a wreath at the Monument of the Unknown Soldier in Syntagma Square.
Afterwards Rivlin made his way to the presidential mansion, where he was received by Greek president Prokopios Pavlopoulos.
Greeting Rivlin, the Greek President sent a message against the revival of nazism and assured his Israeli counterpart that Greeks consider the Holocaust Museum that will be built in Thessaloniki the least homage to the city's Jewish community. The foundation stone for the new museum was laid on Tuesday January 30, 2018 in a ceremony attended by Rivlin.
"The action of the remnants of facism and nazis, who pose a danger for humanity must not be permitted," said Pavlopoulos. SOURCE: int.ert.gr
